About

Our Mission:

The mission of Byemoor School is to ensure each student, in reaching his/her potential, will be socially and academically prepared to meet the challenges of the future.

Byemoor School has been a witness to many challenges and changes over the last century, yet the mission of the school remains constant.

The first schools in the area were small one room school houses that appeared after 1908. In 1909 the Gopher Head School District began operating, and Byemoor School sprang into being in 1913. Of course, today, our school district is called Clearview School Division, and Byemoor School is still going strong! There have been other changes as well, such as the attendance area where we draw our students from, and, of course, the technology that we use in and around the school. This website is merely one of the obvious changes education in Byemoor has seen in its first 100 years. Now into our second 100 years, we can hardly wait to see what is in store for the school as we strive towards meeting our mission.

The staff, students and parent community are all very proud of our school. Byemoor School currently has a student body of 35 students from K to Grade 9 and another 11 in our Start Right Pre-K program. There is a professional staff of 2.95 FTE, and a para-professional staff of another 1.75 FTE to work with the students. Most of our classes are triple graded, although there are exceptions to this rule.

Once again, I want to welcome you to the school's website - stay for as long as you want, enjoy, and leave us a message.
